This morning the weather was horrible! Emergency alerts were coming across my phone concerning the flooding and continuous rain that had no end in sight. Knowing the roads would be a challenge, I made a conscious decision to try to make it to my first appointment. My ego (the voices in my head) were doing everything in their power to justify my staying home and working from my home office. Of course, my client would understand when I call to reschedule due to the weather - or would they?
I made up my mind, that no matter how long it took, I was going to get there! Besides, the energy it takes to try to rearrange things was not worth it - and in many instances proves to be exhausting and stressful.
Do you find yourself setting goals and not achieving them because of distractions that derail you? If we listen to that inner voice telling us all the reasons not to do what we know we should be doing, we will never end up accomplishing anything that is meaningful to us in our lives. You may end up carrying with you regret for all the things you thought you should have done.
Are you frustrated with the "derailments" along the way? Have you ever considered coaching as a tool to keep you on task? Hold you accountable?
Perhaps the time is now, even though you may be caught in a rainstorm in your life, to learn how to use your ego and those voices in your head to move you forward rather than keeping you from not pursuing your dreams and goals.
No matter how long it takes, wouldn't it be nice to get to where you want to be?
So many of us are always thinking of the next thing on our "to do" list, the next place we have to be, the next commitment in our busy schedule.
Spending time with my grandchildren and watching how they enjoy each moment to the fullest, is a pure example of living in the moment. They aren't thinking of anything else but having fun with whatever it is they are doing at that present time! Their day simply rolls from one activity to another with little to no effort and they are filled with such joy.
Is it possible that we would be able to enjoy our lives more and be happier, while not being so worried about what needs to be done next? What if we focused on what we are doing at each given moment? Would we be able to accomplish so much more and truly take in the beauty of every second of every day?
With the pressures of each adult day, is it possible to get back to basics? ....to simplify and make the most of each waking moment? If so, where do we begin?
Have you ever had a conversation with someone and walked away feeling really good because you knew that person was actively listening and let you share what was on your heart and your mind? That's what a soul coaching experience is - whether it's over the phone or in person.
At first you will begin to notice subtle changes. You may experience more freedom when making conscious decisions knowing that they come from your true inner self and not as a result of the expectations of others. You may free up energy that was focused on other aspects of your life and begin to pursue your true passions - your true purpose in YOUR life.
There is a cliché saying - "Time heals all wounds." But does it really? Time doesn't necessarily heal all wounds from our childhood - but rather over time, we have a tendency to push them aside, cover them up and make excuses for them and our behavior.
Week 1 - The Truth is all about Remembering your True Self.
In this module, you will:
