Today I want to thank all of my followers of this blog. My absence is a result of life throwing multiple challenges my way - just like all of you.
At times like this it is good to step back and just B R E A T H E, trust that this too shall pass and let go to see what happens.
While driving, it is always a pleasure for me to listen to Joel Osteen on Sirius Radio. Yesterday's message was "All is Well" (Joel Osteen Radio #607). It was exactly what I needed to hear!
So often we go through life when life changing events happen and we want to fix them, to take the pain away from a loved one and do everything in our power to turn things around. The end result is typically stressful. As we think we are fixing one problem, another one shows up on the seen as a result of our interference.
As hard as it may be, it is best to step back and let our loved ones solve their own problems. What you can do is take care of yourself and be available when needed.
As a Mother, the most painful thing is to watch your children suffer. You want to take care of them so that nothing happens to them, however, if we think back to our own lives, we grow as a result of those challenges. I was blessed to have parents that let me figure out my own problems, were there if I needed them to be, but stepped back when they needed to let go. At the time, I didn't give it much thought. Now I realize what a gift that was to let me find my own way and learn from the choices I made.
Joel's message has reaffirmed with me to say "All is Well" despite any illness, loss or heartbreak.
