Being a Soul Coach, I've been told that the assumption is everything in my life appears to always be right on track, calm and without stress. I smile when I hear this since my life is no different than anyone elses' life. The past two months have been a prime example of living through the unexpected challenges that face each and everyone of us during the course of our lifetime. From a disgruntled relative to serious health diagnoses for several loved ones, the past two months have dished up a healthy serving of unexpected and unsettling situations.
What is perhaps different, is how I view the stresses, not only of the unexpected that comes into our lives, but also those stresses that come along with the upcoming holiday season.
What works best for me is taking things one second at a time. Regardless if it is joyful or tragic, I embrace the place where I am at that moment. I can't control what the next moment, hour, day, or week will bring, however, I can control what I am doing and how I choose react.
As I've mentioned in previous blogs, one of the key components in my daily practice is meditation, and as simple as it may sound, this age old practice keeps me from having anxiety and helps me through my life each and every day. Even just 5 minutes in the morning is enough to start my day on a positive note.
With work, family, the holidays, and everything else racing toward you at this time of year, take a moment to pause, B R E A T H E, and take a moment for you - to embrace where you are at that very moment.
There are 1,440 minutes in each and every day of your life - try to take those 5-10 minutes at the start of every day (and throughout the day if you need to) to reset yourself and Embrace Your Place in your life!
